As announced at SWMUK15 this weekend: we are proud to open the Adventure Medic Elective Competition 2015.
What are we looking for?
An articles about your elective or similar adventure from either medical students worldwide, current Foundation Doctors in the UK, or doctors internationally within two years of qualification. We want articles that are lively and discuss what you learned, as well as what you experienced. You don’t have to have gone somewhere wild and remote – if it was an adventure for you, reading it will be an adventure for us.
Submissions should be over 1000 words (and up to 3000 words) with anything from 4 to 12 images. Please include details of how you set up your elective or adventure, so others might attempt it too. Please also remember to respect patient confidentiality in your writing.

What do you win?
All good articles we receive will be published in Adventure Medic but The article we judge the best will win a Large North Face Base Camp Duffel worth 110 pounds. This is the iconic bag used on many expeditions over the years. We all use them and love them.
When is the closing date?
The closing date is two months from today, Sunday 20 December at 10pm UK time, just in time to pack your shiny new bag for your Christmas trip to the snow. Articles that are received after the closing date will still be eligible for publication, but not to win the prize. Good luck!
