Maarten Boersema
Last summer, photographer Maarten Boersema from the Netherlands spent two weeks in Mozambique with the Mobile Clinic Team of the SAM Foundation, visiting five rural clinics in the Gurue District. As well as providing medical and dental care, and supporting the professional development of local health workers, the SAM team also implemented a community health education programme, teaching local Health Volunteers on everything from malaria and hygiene to dental care.
